Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Stress, emotional wounds, and the constant demands of daily life can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the world around us. Through shamanic healing, I offer a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and begin a journey toward deeper balance and healing.

Shamanic practices have been used for thousands of years across many cultures as a way to restore harmony between the body, mind, spirit, and the natural world. My work blends these ancient traditions with a compassionate, modern approach that respects your unique path and personal experiences.

What is shamanic healing?

At its heart, shamanism is believed to be the oldest type of healing known to humankind, and has been practised in numerous forms throughout the world and in every religion. It is a wholistic healing technique that starts with the shamanic practitioner communing with a person’s Spirit. Shamans and shamanic practitioners are the medicine people, wisdom keepers, healers, storytellers and herbalists of their tribes. They are gifted with the ability to move between realms and feel immense interconnectedness with all of Creation, including ancestors, spirit animal guides, medicine people and wisdom keepers in Spirit form, Mother Earth and all of her creatures.

They look at each condition and each healing as individual and unique. They believe that everything in nature is alive, trees, rivers, plants, and as a result everything in nature possesses information for guidance and healing. They interact with the Spirit world through altered states of consciousness such as trance, working with the Spirit of the person and with their animal guides to bring the soul back into balance, and to lift whatever event has created a shadow around it. Creator can relieve suffering by balancing the energies of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual essences of the individual. A shamanic practitioner and teacher can also show others how to restore their own balance through processes that reconnect them with Mother Earth.

Soul retrieval

Soul retrieval is a term commonly used to describe the return of lost fragments of the spirit. Shamanic practitioners believe that parts of the soul can splinter off due to intense trauma such as physical or emotional abuse, injury, the loss of a relationship, the sadness over a departed loved one, or even a perceived failure, an embarrassment or a frightening situation. The person may say they do not feel like themselves, are excessively tired, or feel as if they have lost their direction in life. These soul fragments may shear off to hide in safety in other dimensions, trying to escape the traumas of life on Earth.

Shamanic practitioners know the methods necessary to find soul fragments and have the capability to retrieve them, for those they are called to heal. The retrieval of these fragments can result in the return of lost memories, skills, abilities, energy and power. People begin to feel whole, and like themselves again. Soul retrieval can be incredibly powerful. You must have the support and protection of your Power Animal before soul retrieval work, so both take place during one single session. I offer soul retrieval in person only.

Using the drum as your spiritual guide, as well as other shamanic tools and techniques, we reconnect you with your spirit animal and call upon your own spiritual guides to clear past unhealthy life events, patterns and traumas; restore balance and healing; enhance your personal power and bring spiritual understanding to your daily life. You shift out of unhealthy or unwanted patterns, energies and attitudes, and bring your own powerful gifts forward to become a present-day co-creator of a more joy-filled and abundant future.

Shamanic drumming

Shamanic practitioners believe the drum is a type of spirit guide who knows its owner’s hands and is tied to their energies. Its rhythm lowers the brain waves to the theta level, which calms the Spirit, connects the body with the heartbeat of Mother Earth and creates a meditative trance in order to cross the veil to the land of Spirit and communicate with Creator, spirit guides, and Power Animal. To drum for the journey of another is a sacred gift, and always begins with smudging and the honouring of the four directions in sacred prayer.

Journeying for your spirit animal guide

Power Animals give the individual, as well as the shamanic practitioner, gifts of sight, teachings of knowledge, protection and wisdom. Each person’s Power Animal is waiting for them, from birth, to call upon its unique characteristics and traits to aid them in their life’s path and challenges. The Power Animal’s job is to keep its charge healthy physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually by providing guidance and support in day to day life. They also bring messages from your spirit guides. You can call on your Power Animal whenever you require extra assistance in any way.

Journeying for soul retrieval

Shamanic journeying through the meditative state of drumming lowers the brain waves to the theta level in order to travel into non-ordinary time and other dimensions. It is offered for emotional, spiritual, mental and physical wellness and balance. Journeying is undertaken to retrieve separated soul parts for reintegration into the heart chakra, increasing the creative abilities and gifts that separated with the lost parts. Drumming is also facilitated to connect with and understand the purpose of your Power Animal, and in search of answers to major life questions, such as direction and soul purpose.

Shamanic extraction work

Extraction work is based on the belief that unhealthy energy can become embedded in the individual’s energy field and weigh on their wellbeing. This unwanted energy is not necessarily something bad; it is simply something that is not a normal part of the individual’s energy field and does not belong there. Shamanic practitioners see it in visionary space and take it out, releasing the unwanted energy into a flame or into water to neutralise it. The shaman then sends healing energy from Creator to take its place. The final steps are a smudge blessing over the person being healed, and drumming over their body to seal the healthy energy in.

The Munay-Ki Healers Rites

The Munay-Ki Healers Rites are a series of energetic attunements gifted through sacred ceremony to a student. They place angelic and animal archetypes into the chakra system that open channels to higher spiritual knowledge and bring healing and protection. They were gifted from the Munay-Ki shamans of the Andes mountains and brought back to North America by Dr. Alberto Villoldo.

Why people come

People seek shamanic healing for many different reasons. Some arrive during times of personal transition, while others are simply looking to reconnect with themselves on a deeper level. Sessions may support:

  • Emotional healing and releasing old patterns
  • Stress reduction and inner balance
  • Personal growth and spiritual exploration
  • Reconnecting with purpose and direction
  • Processing life transitions or grief

Every session is unique. Your experience is guided by what your spirit most needs at that moment, which means each journey unfolds in its own meaningful way.

What to expect during a session

The first step is simply conversation. I take time to listen to your story, understand what you’re experiencing, and learn what intentions you may have for the session. From there, I guide the shamanic work using traditional techniques such as rhythmic drumming or meditative journeying. These methods help access deeper levels of awareness where insight and healing can naturally occur.

Many people describe the experience as calming, grounding, and surprisingly empowering. Rather than feeling like something is being done to you, it often feels like remembering parts of yourself that were always there.

Why I practise shamanism

My path into shamanic healing began through my own search for deeper healing and understanding. The transformative experiences I encountered inspired me to learn from experienced teachers and to continue developing these skills. Today, I feel honoured to offer this work as a way to support others on their healing journey. Each person brings a unique story, and I approach every session with respect, compassion, and deep gratitude. My practice was formerly known as Medicine Visions.

If you feel curious about shamanic healing, that curiosity may already be the first step toward something meaningful. Many people discover that simply creating space for reflection and spiritual connection can open doors to healing they didn’t expect.

By personal request

All sessions are live, by phone, WhatsApp or Zoom. If you would prefer to meet in person, that can be arranged by request: I can come to your home, or we can meet at a venue we have discussed beforehand.

Shamanic healing sessions are offered by personal request, and soul retrieval is done in person only. Write to me and we will find what suits you.
